HYALURONIC ACID (HA) is one of the most compelling ingredients found in skincare products. It naturally occurs in the body, securing the skin’s natural moisture and creating fullness. Many products feature HA such as creams, serums, injectables (Juvederm and Restylane), and supplements.

Skin naturally loses moisture over time, which causes it to lose elasticity and show signs of aging. Adding HA back into the body is an excellent way to reduce wrinkles. HA dermal fillers not only bring back smoothness to the skin, but also increase skin tone and make it supple.

As a large molecule, HA doesn’t permeate deep into the skin, so it stays near the surface, keeping the upper layers moisturized and locking in hydration. If applied topically, it increases elasticity and reverses free radical damage. HA works across the board for every skin type. Look for Hyaluronic Acid serums and apply alone if you have oily skin or under a moisturizer if you have dry skin.
