Executive Assistant to the President & Chairman of West Cancer Center
I <3 RUNNING: Running has been more than just a sport for me since middle school; it’s a place of clarity where I can process my thoughts and emotions. There’s a unique power in setting a goal, pursuing it step by step, and crossing the finish line. That feeling is unmatched and significantly contributes to my overall health and happiness.
BUCKET LIST: With roots in Yugoslavia, now Croatia, one of my personal goals is to run a full marathon there in under four hours, honoring both my heritage and dedication.
UP NEXT: West Fight On
FAV FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENT: Accomplishing my goal of under two hours with 13.1 miles — it was 1:46:48!
HOMETOWN: Memphis, TN
MY GROUP: Somer Dream Team/ West Fight On, Breakway Series, Spartan
FAV JAMS: “The Champion” by Carrie Underwood and Ludacris!
RECENT RACES: West Fight On 5K (second place in female age group)
MOST MEMORABLE FITNESS EVENT: My first recorded 5K, when I registered for fun and ended as the first in my age group.
BEST EATS: Swankys – their nachos are hot, and Huey’s Señor Huey burger has yet to be matched!
DREAM DINNER COMPANY: Faith Kipyegon and Priscilla Shirer have profoundly influenced my life through their strength and grace. As a passionate runner, I admire Kipyegon not just for her athletic achievements but also for her resilience in overcoming hardships and embracing motherhood while returning to the track with visible stretch marks and a gold medal. Shirer has opened my heart to a deeper faith through her teachings. Her journey from communications to ministry exemplifies the beauty of following God’s unexpected call. It would be a true gift to learn from both women about how they balance their passions, families, and faith.
GO-TO GEAR: Brooks shoes
ON MY NIGHTSTAND: “Ancestral Mindset” by John Daniel
INSPIRATION TO BE FIT: I’ve witnessed the incredible impact of movement, consistency, and nutritional awareness not only in my own life but in the lives of those I’ve helped. The ability to support others in reaching their goals and discovering new confidence has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. That’s why I’ve chosen to raise the bar and pursue my calling as a health and mental fitness coach.
PET PEEVE: When people fail to meet others where they are physically, mentally, or emotionally, and miss the opportunity to foster growth. Every person’s journey looks different, and true encouragement comes from acknowledging that and walking alongside them.
QUOTE: Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”
