I <3 RUNNING: Running keeps me physically and mentally fit. It also allows me to meet new people and travel the world. Most importantly, running motivates me to achieve my goals on and off the pavement. When I am running, it’s me vs. me.

BUCKET LIST: Abbott World Marathon Majors Finisher

UP NEXT: M-Town Race Series & Lane Purser Memorial Road Race Series

FAV FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENT: My favorite has been completing over 50 half-marathons in the United States and internationally without injuries. I also achieved a PR of 2.07 while competing in a half marathon in Charlotte, North Carolina.

HOMETOWN: Southaven, MS

SPEED BUMPS: I overcame piriformis syndrome. The excruciating buttock and leg pain resulted in no running for several months and depression, but it resulted in a newfound passion for walking. I incorporated walking with strength training and physical therapy sessions for a speedy recovery. Eventually, I was able to get stronger and resume running.

MY GROUP: Desoto Runners Club and Memphis Runners Track Club

RECENT RACES: 2024 St. Jude Memphis Marathon® Weekend – Half Marathon

MOST MEMORABLE FITNESS EVENT: My most memorable was running my first Marathon in November 2024 with my sister. My training regimen consisted of running twice a week and strength training four times a week, resulting in a finishing time of 4:48 without hitting a wall. This experience brings back tears of joy and a definite feeling of accomplishment.

BEST EATS: I like BABALU, specifically their black bean burger and crispy Brussels sprouts. It’s delicious.

DREAM DINNER COMPANY: Though not famous, it would be my dad! He has been deceased for seven years. I would love to talk to him to provide him with an update on my life and to seek his wisdom on navigating this crazy world we live in. I would also share my finisher running pictures with him so he can show and discuss them with his buddies.

GO-TO GEAR: Saucony Endorphin Speed and Brooks Ghost with cute attire!

INSPIRATION TO BE FIT: I want to stay fit for my overall health and to look and feel good about myself.

PET PEEVE: The walkers are in the center of a race versus the side.
