34; Physical Therapist at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics

I <3 TRIATHLON: I’ve always been inspired by people who compete in triathlons. I love the resilience in the community and how we all come from different experiences and backgrounds to achieve the same finish line!

BUCKET LIST: I have yet to complete the full Ironman, and I want to do at least one.

UP NEXT: Memphis in May Olympic Distance Triathlon; Annie Oakley Sprint Triathlon; National Championships for Olympic and Sprint distance; and the World Championships in Spain in September!

FAV FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENT: My favorite was making it to USAT Team USA and competing on the World Triathlon stage!

HOMETOWN: Memphis, TN

SPEED BUMPS: Shortly after qualifying for World Championships, I suffered an annular tear in my L4/5 disc. I did not think I would be able to compete last season, but very special people helped me get to the start line. It took a few back procedures with Dr. Carlos Rivera, a lot of Physical Therapy assistance from Kelly Lee, Careful Coaching from Heather Nicoles, and an enormous amount of love and support from my husband, family, and friends!

MY GROUP: BPC performance coaching, Team Zoot Mid-Atlantic, and USAT AG Team USA.

BEST EATS: Casablanca! I love the Shawarma and their hot tea!

DREAM DINNER COMPANY: Shaquille O’Neal. I think he’s so funny and a nice human!

GO-TO GEAR: My purple Quintana Roo bike, HOKA Carbon Fiber running shoes, Zoot tri kits, and my Zone 3 wetsuit, if it’s legal! Prednisone and Tylenol are also lifesavers sometimes.

INSPIRATION TO BE FIT: The resilient human spirit! I work and train with people who go through so much; it’s truly amazing what the human body can survive and be trained to accomplish. I don’t believe in wasting a day when I am capable of training. It can be taken away so fast.

ON MY NIGHTSTAND: “Endure: Mind, Body, and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance” by Alex Hutchinson

PET PEEVE: Comparing and egos — leave them at home and be nice on race day.

QUOTE: “Your easiest job is to be kind to the human next to you.” – unknown
