If the ingredients aren’t something you would ingest orally, why put them on your skin? Does this mean you must throw all your skin care away and start over? No! This doesn’t mean immediately switching all of your products. Instead, try upgrading to a cleaner product each time you run out of an old one.
Here are some of my favorite clean skincare products and facials I have tried:
ORDINARY SQUALANE SERUM
Ordinary Squalane Serum is an amazing organic cruelty-free oil and moisturizer as it is 100% plant-derived squalane, a natural hydrator for our skin. Squalane is found naturally in our skin, but this plant-derived squalane comes from sugar cane, creating a formula that aids skin hydration without clogging pores. It is also major allergen free! You can also use this oil on your hair to add shine, prevent breakage, and protect from heat.
ILIA MASCARA
It’s hard to find a clean and volumizing mascara these days, but I can personally attest that Ilia mascara is a great option that contains nourishing ingredients. Ilia is ophthalmologist-tested, making it great for those with sensitive eyes and those wearing contacts. It enhances and volumizes lashes without flaking, smudging, or irritating. It’s also super easy to wash off with makeup remover.
ARAZA FOUNDATION
Araza is a great natural option for foundation, blush, and more. This foundation stands out because it blocks blue light, contains natural SPF (25), and is anti-pollution. It is also made of 95 percent organic skin superfoods, a coconut postbiotic to aid the skin’s microbiome, polyphenols for skin rejuvenation, and organic oils. It is made from natural clay, which is healing, protective, and packed with minerals. It gives you light to medium coverage with a luminous dew-kissed finish.
EARTH HARBOR CELESTINE HYDRA-PLUMPING PEPTIDE SERUM
I love Earth Harbor’s vegan, cruelty-free products. I especially love the Celestine hydra-plumping peptide serum for hydration and anti-aging.
