I <3 RUNNING: Training and consistency yield results. This sport has taught me that success depends on both mental and physical toughness. It’s very satisfying to conquer and perform at an elite level.

BUCKET LIST: I would love to watch or compete in the Olympic Games.

UP NEXT: I’m currently training to run the 800m and 1-mile indoor track races.

FAV FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENT: Receiving a scholarship to run cross country and track at the University of West Alabama.

HOMETOWN: Oxford, Mississippi

SPEED BUMPS: I have a recurring hamstring injury that has caused a lot of hiccups in my college career. This year has been my first full year hamstring-injury-free after a lot of physical therapy and rehab (huge shoutout to 901 PT).

MY GROUP: HyperFocus Run Club

FAV JAMS: “SOLD OUT” by HARDY

RECENT RACES: 1:54 800m at Lee University Track Meet, 16th place/36 runners, and Peachtree 10K, 35:10, 114th place/43,654 runners

MOST MEMORABLE FITNESS EVENT: Winning my first college race: 800m in 1:53.38 at Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays at Mississippi State University.

BEST EATS: Slider Inn. I like the Memphian Sliders!

DREAM DINNER COMPANY: I would love to have dinner with Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens! I find it incredible how he was able to win four gold medals during a time of political pressure and oppression. I would love to hear from him how he achieved this feat. I am very proud that he represented our nation during that time. I’d be honored to share a table with a track-and-field legend like himself.

GO-TO GEAR: Hoka running shoes and a Garmin watch!

INSPIRATION TO BE FIT: I feel that I have not reached my full potential as a runner. I believe I can still run a personal best in the 800m.

ON MY NIGHTSTAND: “The 5AM Club” by Robin Sharma

PET PEEVE: Flexing running watch tans.

BINGE-WATCHING: “Stranger Things” since Season 5 dropped.
