MY WORKOUT

I do a 45-minute HIIT-style workout at F45 Germantown, usually at 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. I walk my dog early in the afternoon for about 20-30 minutes, depending on her attention level, but usually about 1.25 miles. She is a pitbull/Rhodesian ridgeback mix, so her resistance level is high. If I feel good enough for an accessory lift, I go to ATC fitness around 2 p.m., depending on my availability.

FITNESS GOAL FOR THIS YEAR

I want to increase flexibility through my hip flexors.

BIGGEST FITNESS MYTH

Cardio is bad for muscle building.

BIGGEST NUTRITION MYTH

Carbs are the enemy.

FAVORITE SNACK

I don’t really snack, but if I do, it’s chocolate chip cookies!

ONE FOOD I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT

Chocolate

ALWAYS IN MY GYM BAG

I use a red, collapsible funnel for supplements. The supplements change, but the funnel always stays.

MY FITNESS IDOL

Olympian – Sydney McLaughlin, Friend – Joe Hayes (ELDOA Boston)

MY DREAM WORKOUT PARTNER

Gigi Hadid MY DIET

It’s usually pretty clean. I wouldn’t say it follows anything specific, but I typically stick to having a meat as my focus with a simple vegetable or fruit as a side, maybe with some rice. I like supporting local sources, and I usually cook for myself. It’s not an intentional intermittent fast, but I try to eat when I’m hungry instead of having designated meal times.

SETBACKS

I was cut from an AAU basketball team in the 7th grade. I played for a different, lower-tiered team and learned a lot from that coach. It helped me realize that I get more out of things when I do them because I enjoy the activity instead of trying to do something for status.

MY MOTIVATION

I want to be a little bit healthier with every birthday.
