I ♥ CYCLING: I love the community. I have met so many new friends since I started cycling.

BUCKET LIST: I want to ride my bike in additional states and countries. I love the idea of exploring new places on two wheels, experiencing different landscapes and cultures, and challenging myself physically along the way. I hope to continue expanding my riding horizons and sharing those adventures with my family for many years to come.

UP NEXT: St. Jude Memphis Marathon® Weekend 10K

FAV FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENT: I have participated with the Ride 2 Rosemary team for the past three years, which involved riding over 500 miles over 5 days.

HOMETOWN: Now, Jackson, TN, but I’m originally from Chicago.

SPEED BUMPS: One of the biggest hardships I’ve faced on my fitness journey happened during the 2024 Ride 2 Rosemary, when I was involved in a serious crash that left me with a broken collarbone, fractured ribs, and a mild concussion. Going from being active and independent to suddenly dealing with significant injuries was both physically and mentally challenging. The recovery required patience and a willingness to gradually rebuild my strength and confidence on the bike. Ultimately, the experience gave me an even greater appreciation for my health and reinforced why staying active matters. Getting back on the bike wasn’t just about fitness — it was about overcoming the fear of another crash and continuing to do something I truly enjoy.

MY GROUPS: Grind City Cycling, Major Taylor Memphis, Grip & Grind, and Memphis Hightailers Cycling clubs. I participate in weekly rides like: GCC 2DT, Dawn Patrol, MHBC Humpday Ride, GCC Smooth Groove Thursday, and Trinity.

FAV JAMS: “It’s Goin’ Down” by Yung Joc

MOST MEMORABLE FITNESS EVENT: The first year I did the Ride 2 Rosemary.

BEST EATS: I enjoy the Waygu Ribeye and Oysters Rockefeller from Porch & Parlor.

GO-TO GEAR: My Oakley Meta Glasses have quickly become one of my favorite pieces of cycling gear. They let me capture rides and memorable moments from my point of view without stopping or pulling out my phone.

INSPIRATION TO BE FIT: My biggest inspiration is my family. I want to be healthy, active, and fully present with my wife and two daughters for many years to come. I also genuinely enjoy food, so fitness gives me the balance to enjoy the foods and experiences I love while still taking care of my body. For me, staying fit isn’t just about how I look — it’s about having the energy and longevity to enjoy life with the people who matter most.

PET PEEVE: I don’t enjoy early morning runs in the dark.
