A new boutique fitness experience is coming to Germantown this fall with the opening of Neighborhood Barre Germantown, bringing a welcoming, results-driven barre studio to the local community.

Designed to feel less like a traditional gym and more like a high-style neighborhood gathering place, Neighborhood Barre Germantown will offer challenging, low-impact barre, strength, and HIIT workouts in an intimate and encouraging environment. The studio is designed for women of all ages and fitness levels, with classes focused on building strength, improving posture and balance, and creating long, lean muscle.

“We wanted to create a place in Germantown where women could come to get a great workout, but also feel like they are part of something,” said the studio’s owner, Ainsley Hightower. Hightower is also the owner of Neighborhood Barre Memphis, the sister studio located on Sanderlin in East Memphis. “Our Memphis studio is such a great community where everyone feels welcome, has fun, and leaves feeling strong,” Hightower said. “People kept asking when we were bringing that to Germantown.”

Hightower is opening the second studio with the help of her Director of Studios, Katelyn Caufield. Caufield, originally the Studio Manager for the East Memphis location, is “essential” to Hightower’s business development.

Located at 3164 Forest Hill Irene as part of the new Watertower Place development, the new studio will offer a variety of class times designed to fit busy schedules, making it easy for members to incorporate movement into their everyday lives. Whether someone is brand new to barre or has been practicing for years, classes are designed to meet clients where they are in their fitness journey, with instructors trained to give advancements and modifications for each client, resulting in a truly personalized experience.

In addition to regular classes, Neighborhood Barre Germantown will offer free childcare at select class times to their members to help alleviate this burden on mothers of young children.

“As a mom of three young boys, I understand how essential 50 minutes to yourself can be during a day of constant demands from little ones, but how hard it can be to find the time for it,” Hightower said. “Our hope is that by providing this small childcare service to members, moms feel encouraged to prioritize themselves a little more during their day.”

Neighborhood Barre Germantown is scheduled to open this fall. Founding memberships are currently on sale, and pre-opening events will be announced alongside the studio’s official opening date.

“It’s coming soon!” Hightower promised. “We are working through the normal bumps of new construction, but our opening date is just around the corner, and as soon as we know we can’t be derailed again, we’ll share it from the rooftops!”
